Montgomery Bicentennial Events continue:Fireworks top off the night!
Last week-end we enjoyed sitting on the front porch with our guests as we viewed the 2 hour–yes, 2-hour!–Fireman’s Parade in honor of Montgomery’s 200th birthday. The evening ended with a great fireworks display (again, viewed beautifully from our porch). Our guests all thought the display was, of course, in their honor and we did nothing to dissuade them of this notion.
Guests have come from all over the world this summer: Israel, California, and even Stormville, NY! We’re looking forward to a number of alums coming to class reunions. Favorite day trips include Bethel Woods, West Point, Storm King Art Center, Shawangunk Wine Trail, hiking at Mohonk, and, that all-time favorite–reading the paper and sipping coffee on our porch.
